quite curious

WHY am I so into these new boots from Aldo?  They're really not my usual style at all, but for some reason, I'm feeling like I really need them.  Reaaaaaaaaaaallllllly need them.

and even better from the front..

HALP!

However, I am inclined to think that they would be very cute when worn with a few items I just picked up from the new stock over at shopnastygal...

Well, I hear that the powerball has officially started in Georgia this week.  Maybe I should start playing that....and win my MEGAMILLIONS!!!

sigh...

On another note, this week I've gotten in 3 packs of super expired Polaroid film, and am very excited that I get to leave Atlanta this weekend to test some of it out.  Emil and I will be in Bama visiting parents, and then going to the beach on Saturday for my papaw's 90th birthday party.  90 years old, blows my mind.  And he's still hilarious.

So hopefully there will be lots of nice weather and super blue skies to use my magic film on.  I'll try and remember to get a shot of papaw too, he always looks so dapper.

AND NOW, I will leave you with my favorite shot over the past week.  Taken with my polaroid ee-100 special & 669 film.  This was one of the first polaroid land cameras I bought, but have only used it once until recently.  Glad I dug it out from the back of the camera cabinet chaos..

see you august, see you june...

spottie dottie

OH MY GOD.  Why did I completely forget about how much I used to love this bitch?  I mean I had EVERYTHING.  And each item was personalized, of course, with my name, written with a paint pen of corresponding color.

I would also like to add that the new Spottie Dottie isn't nearly as awesome as the 90's version.  But I supposed that's to be expected.

Anyhow, I ran into these today while being bored on the internet, and think I may require them....

aaaaand that would be about all of the polka dot type things I can handle.  cute though!
until next time..

PSSSSST!

Urban Outfitters actually has these IN STOCK right now, in black and grey!!!  ordered mine in grey last night :)

Neutral Nancy

As I may have mentioned before, I'm very partial to anything black.  Or gray.  Sometimes even white!  But I think I lean more towards these particular colors because I tend to be quite pale, with some freckles scattered about, so most shades of pink, peach, or tan can make me look washed out and pretty horrifying.  However, I am kinda feelin this new neutral trend.  So without further ado, here are some of my favorite items floating around the net that I might could pull off....if I wasn't broke.  That'll be the day..

I am LIVING for these!!!!  come onnnnn paycheck!

ok, so I love a Ritz cracker.  and this reminds me of my grandpa Ed, because he REALLY loved them :)

I used to have a skirt similar to this about 4 years ago while living in NY, and now it is massive.  so I will require this one to replace it.  thank you.

this jacket is BRILLIANT and if I wouldn't get made fun of my all of my friends for wearing it around atl, it would totally be mine ;)   god it is FIERCE!

almost clogs but not quite, awesome!

I know they have their issues, but I am such a fan of white dress pants.  love love love it.  so classic.

I can rarely carry a bag this small, but this one I would force myself to make work.  too cute, and it reminds me a little of my fancy Grandma Kitty.  she was Italian, and probaby the classiest lady I've ever met.

I have a slight obsession with boots, at any time of the year.  this is also the closest I would probably get to wearing something that resembles an oxford...I mean look at the toe and the laces.  good enough for me!

perfect in every way, it's just too bad it's sold out and overpriced.

ok, not so neutral, but very festive nonetheless.  I've always loved a red bag, but have a hard time finding one that doesn't look cheap and doesn't cost a grand.  I will be requiring this in order to spice up my new drab wardrobe.  just sayin.  (I take donations)

Ok!  So today is Friday, and I have to start thinking about what I'm going to wear out tonight.  The Soulphonics (ft a very good friend Kevin Scott) will be playing downstairs at our little neighborhood pub Elliott Street, and I do love to make a cameo to these little events.  Emil and I have actually gotten quite well at it.  Show up fashionably late, stay around just long enough for a song or two (and to at least wave at everyone), then slide on out while my makeup is still fresh.  love it!

So I wish everyone a good weekend, and I'll be back real soon, hopefully with some festive outfit choices from the weekend.  :)

whirlwind

The year has started off crazy from day 1 and I haven't had much time to rest, shop, or really eat for that matter.

I've gotten to visit family and old friends, went to New Orleans for 4 days with Atlanta friends, and shot photos for an album cover.  oh, and went to the doctor for the first time in 4 years, which was much less horrifying than I remember.

I did however think it would be a grand idea to stop by the ol' blog and post a few of my favorite photos I've taken in the past month.

Please do enjoy :)
